Maple Leaf 2

Gray and gold maple leaf fired in anagama kiln for 5 days. Positioned near the front of kiln, taking the heat. Went into the kiln bare of glaze, just the stain that was rubbed into the veins.
Measures 6 inches at longest point, 6.25 inches at widest.
Edges darkened, and the ash left some crunchy deposits here and there to add to the texture. A semi-matt gray with brown veins and golden splashes. The back shows the flow of ash and flame.
Three legs slant outwards for stability & have corked bottoms.
Hang on the wall for décor, or let it hold treasures on a table top.
