3 Circle Cup

No glaze was used, just a clay slip on the inside, the exterior was left bare. Woodfired for 5 days in Ochawangama. Layers of ash built up on the sides to create a flow of colors. We use 3 kinds of local wood, and do a cool down reduction on the last day. The front of kiln is draped in a blanket wet with kiln wash, as well as all ports (but one) to help hold the heat. We then load green, wet wood into the open port for several hours to slowly drop the temp. After cooling, we plug the open port and wait a week before opening. Openings, we welcome all visitors interested.
