Purple & Orange Medicine Cup

Purple medicine cup thrown on the wheel with intent on healing. Rim colored a mottled orange and purple. Cup was put into the anagama without any glaze. A clay slip was poured inside. Coloring came from the atmospheric conditions inside the kiln during the 5 day firing. No other cup has ever received this coloring. Its rustic look is a mystery. Crusty but smooth & matt. At first, it appears purple, with orange undertones breaking through from underneath, leaving an interesting color and texture.
Use it for taking daily meds or just to use for something that makes you feel good.
