Granite Cup

This cup lay on its side for the firing. It was near the front and received a good, even amount of ash. It looks as if it actually turned to granite. A red kiss at the top invites your lips to rest there, ash covers the bottom. A splattering of gold crystals grace the front. Woodfired in Ochawangama for 120 hours. It has a pleasing texture and feels good in the hands. 4” tall, 3” wide at the top.
