Four Windows Cup

Porcelain cup with colorful markings. Made with intention on love and healing. Cup fits and feels good in the hand. Woodfired in an anagama kiln for 5 days in a reduction atmosphere.
This type of porcelain picks up the color yellow in the anagama. The color yellow is associated with sunshine, laughter, and uplifting moods. It symbolizes new beginnings, warmth, and dispels gloom.
The four yellow spots on the side came from a small door with 4 windows placed in front of the cup, the ash pouring through the windows and on to the cup. A mellow pale terra cotta color provides the background for the yellow, gray, and brown fluctuations.
