Cloud cup

Fluted medicine cup woodfired in an Anagama for five days. Glazed with nezume Shino over a crackle slip. It was in the back of the kiln and inside a saggar. Rather than a crackle, it left a thick matt surface that enveloped the cup like a cloud. The piece shifted inside the saggar, knocking off a bit of glaze from the lip leaving a red kiss. A good place to rest your lips.
Thrown on the wheel with intent on good feelings and healing. Enjoy!
