Tulip Cup

Textured medicine cup thrown on the wheel, incised design of leaves and a tulip done with intent on loving kindness and healing. Hand-made from recycled clay.
Fired for five days in a woodfired anagama kiln. The inside of cup was flushed with
a clay slip, then the lip dipped in the same. The rest of the exterior was left bare to be colored by flame and ash inside the kiln...a chocolate brown touched with carbon trap.
